Where: City Council Chambers, 3575 Pacific Avenue

The Scoop:
The City of Livermore is conducting a special hearing tonight. The information released by the City states tonight’s hearing is to considering the following matters:
“Amend the Municipal Code Chapter 15 (Adult Business) and Livermore Planning and Zoning Code Title 2 (Zoning Districts) to introduce regulations for live adult entertainment businesses.”
From what I understand, prior to now the City has not had any regulation regarding live adult entertainment (nude and semi-nude) and is now drafting these regulations. Previous regulations only covered adult bookstore, arcades, and motion picture theatres. Under the new provisions live entertainment cannot be within 1,000 feet of sensitive uses and can only operate in I-3 zoning districts. There is a variety of other restrictions being put into place and the recommendation is for the City Council to approve the regulations.
The City will also be continuing the discussion of the new small business incentives, the agenda states the following:
“Hearing to consider amending goals of the General Plan Economic Development Fiscal Element to revise economic incentives by including tax incentives for smaller developments which generate $30,000 or more in annual sales tax revenue.”
