TGI Fridays in the Rose Pavilion in Pleasanton has closed its doors for good. As reported a few months back, the landlord Brixmore (formerly known as Centro) had already began to negotiate with prospective tenants to backfill the space. The 8,000 square foot space is large, too large for most restaurants these days.
Amoung the potential suitors, JP Morgan Chase was named. Chase has been on a leasing frenzy, snapping up any class “A” retail locations they can get their hands on.
As of today I have been told that Chase will not be taking over the space, there is another tenant (non restaurant use) very close to final lease terms on the site. The new tenant will remian nameless until an official lease is in place.
