Let the controversy continue! IKEA has submitted an application to The City of Dublin to open a 339,099 square foot IKEA store. In addition to this, they are looking to open a 93,000 square foot commercial center with both retail and restaurant spaces! As of right now, the application is under review and the city has held a handful of Community Meetings to hear input from residents. The entire development will take up about 27.5 acres currently located at 5144 Martinelli Way, right off of I-580. You may remember back in 2006, IKEA owned the land and sold it back to Blake Hunt Ventures. Fast forward to now, IKEA owns the land once again, and is now in the planning stages of building the 339,099 square foot store. For more background, visit the link below.
