Curious about the construction going on around Railroad and South L Street? The City of Livermore has released an approved downtown plan which includes a hotel with an underground parking structure, a retail center with shopping and restaurant space, and housing with underground parking. The plan also includes Stockmen’s park, a 1.5 acre park honoring veterans and ranching heritage, cultural facilities including a proposed Science and Society Center, and an additional parking center. According to The City of Livermore, “a new parking structure on L Street is scheduled to break ground in spring of 2019. In order to maintain the current amount of parking during construction of the parking structure, the City has demolished two vacant buildings behind Blacksmith Square and is improving the surface lot in four phases beginning in June.”
