An initial planning application for a drive-thru Starbucks at 1951 Holmes Street is currently under review. The application was submitted for a new building and drive-thru in the Lucky’s shopping center located at Holmes and Concannon. ROIC, a publicly traded commercial real estate company, is the owner of the center and has completed similar “infill” Starbuck’s deals, such as the new drive-thru at the San Ramon Gateway Centre. While no site plans have been released, typically, these new buildings are constructed when there is excess or under-utilitzed parking areas.
This is the first of a couple drive-throughs that are in the planning stages. Other drive-thru developments include a Chick-fil-a at 1754 North Livermore Avenue, adjacent from In-N-Out, and a Wendy’s at 207 South Vasco Road, the vacant land next to 7-11 gas station and Starbucks. No further details have been released at this time, but we will keep you updated!
